A 19th Century Painted Sofa

In the original paint.
The straight, scrolled top rail with sweeps down the the upholstered arm rests.
Turned arm rest supports raised on square blocks flanking the shaped front rail.
Turned, slender front legs, terminating on original castors, and swept back legs.
The original paintwork throughout with polychrome floral bouquets on cream ground, and blue lattice decoration to areas. 
Some losses of decoration to right hand front rail as shown, but it does not detract from the piece.
Restored and upholstered traditionally in horsehair and hessian.
