The pattern was described by Hope as 'after the manner of the ancient curule chairs'.
This one having reeded arms, backs and legs with H stretchers.
The back and seat have colse caning in good order.
An historical repair to the front leg arch (as shown) and modern repair to the front rail (shown again)
